American Leadership Academy offers a broad range of academic classes, MATC opportunities and EdNet classes. American Leadership Academy allows students to take advantage of a small student-to-teacher ratio. With a current enrollment of over 1,600 students, American Leadership Academy is growing to meet the needs of our students.
American Leadership Academy also offers a broad range of extracurricular activities, ranging from Football, Basketball, Baseball and Soccer to Band, Choir, Orchestra and many other activities. Our sports teams participate in the 2A classification.

UPCOMING EVENTS
ALA Annual Dance Concert
The Annual Dance Concert featuring Dance Company, Ballroom Team and Hip-Hop Company, will be performing in the Jr. High Auditorium on May 17, 18 & 21, starting at 7pm each evening. You may purchase tickets either by calling the Jr. High or at the door. Ticket prices are $5.00 per seat and $25.00 for immediate family.
Utah Valley Football League Registration Online registration for the 2012 UVFL season is still open! Just a reminder, the first 500 players to register will receive a Xenith helmet with their rental equipment. About 100 players have already registered, so sign up soon to make sure you receive a Xenith helmet! Go to www.uvfl.net to register now!
Walk-in registration will begin on July 25 and go through August 11. For all the walk-in registration dates and times go to www.uvfl.net. Any day after August 11 is considered late registration. There is an additional $25 fee for signing up late, so sign up now!

International Arts Exchange Students from ALA and surrounding areas are invited to participate in an International Arts Exchange with 50 high school students from China. All camp participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in professional music performance, with highly skilled directors. They will also have the chance to cultivate international friendships while delighting in fun filled daily activities. We will even be in the Fiesta Days 24th of July parade. The International Arts Exchange culminates in a top-notch, musical review, sure to please one and all. It proves to be a life changing experience! Camp tuition is $495, BUT, tuition waivers are available for those who would

Introducing The Next Step Program At ALA
This program is being offered to 8th and 6th graders and is designed to empower
students as they prepare to make the transition to Jr. High and High School. The courses
are being taught be selected instructors from the ALA community, including Mrs. Marrelli
and Mrs. Davis.
The program is hands-on and includes entrance to the Ropes course, as well as an event t-shirt and all meals during attendance. Best of all – there is no cost to participate. Space is limited.

Spanish Dual Immersion Program
American Leadership Academy will begin a Spanish Dual Immersion Program for the 2012-2013 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for the students and staff at ALA. On Tuesday, May 8th at 7:00pm there will be a meeting held in the middle school auditorium to introduce the program and answer any questions that you may have. ALA REGISTATION FOR 2012-2013
We are ready to begin the registration process for the 2012-2013 school year. Below are the sections for High School and Junior High student registration.
Registration Due: Parents, please take the time to assist your student and make sure you are in agreement with the classes your student is choosing. The completed registration forms need to be turned in to your student’s current B2 teacher no later than Friday, April 20th. If your student does not currently have a B2 teacher, they may return it to the front office when completed.
Question and Answer: Counselors, principals, and selected staff will be available to answer questions you may have about registration on Tuesday, April 17th from 4-6 pm.

ALA DRESS CODE DISCIPLINE CHANGES
There have been recent changes made to the Dress Code Discipline procedures as they apply to students attending American Leadership Academy. We ask all parents and students to become acquainted with them in the Director's Newsletter and Discipline Procedures documents below. The new discipline procedures will go into effect on Monday, January 9th, 2012.

Students build this electronic education and career portfolio througout life, and online access makes it easy for parents to get involved. New School Lunch Vendor We are changing our school lunch vendor because of poor food quality and poor service. Our new vendor will be viegourmet.com. You will have to go into their web site and re-register. Please put in all your information and when you get to the part that says school code...

If you have any problems you can contact Mrs. Latham at 794-2226 ext.6015. As soon as you're registered she can go in and put your lunch status in. The new vendor starts next Monday, Mar. 7, 2011. The first week we will be making sure all students get fed while we are going through this transition.
