ALA Parent Council Bylaws

Parent Council Bylaws are the rules that govern how the Parent Council functions. These bylaws ensure the Parent Council Executive Board is always acting in the best interest of the parents, students, and schools; and not for their own individual interests. The Parent Council Executive Board encourages all parents to read and review the current Parent Council Bylaws. A copy of these are available at the front desk of each school.

Special Committees
These committees are temporary in nature and serve as a resource for the Parent Council Executive Board and School Coordinators. All special committees are automatically dissolved when their work is finished and their final report is received by the Parent Council Executive Board.

Subcommittees
All subcommittees and subcommittee chairs are appointed by the School Coordinators. All subcommittee chairs report directly to the school coordinator and not the Parent Council Board.
