Family Volunteer Hour Form
It is the policy of the ALA Board of Trustees that each family serves a minimum of 40 volunteer hours. The State Department of Education requires charter schools to provide parents the opportunity to be involved through service, and they conduct audits of the school to make sure we are in compliance. All volunteer hours will be logged and recorded for the state audit. If you volunteer outside of your student's classroom, please complete a parent volunteer hour form and return to a member of the Parent Council Executive Board or e-mail your form to

Parent Council Volunteer Handbook
The Parent Council is providing a volunteer handbook to outline volunteer procedures and guidelines for all parent volunteers. We encourage each parent who volunteers at the school to read and review and handbook before volunteering at the school.
There is a copy of the handbook located at the front desk of every school.
